- For the Krispie Layer
- Line a 9"x9" baking tin.
- Gently melt the butter and marshmallows in a saucepan on a low-medium heat
- Keep on the heat and stir intermittently until the mixture has formed smooth sticky paste. Be patient, as this will take a few minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in the rice krispies until they're evenly covered.
- Press down in to the baking tin (use the back of a spoon or a spatula for this as it's really sticky!).
- For Topping and Decoration
- Break the white chocolate up in to chunks and melt in a double boiler on a low heat until smooth - be careful not to overheat the chocolate.
- Allow the chocolate to cool for a couple of minutes. Transfer a approx 5 tablespoons of melted white chocolate in to a heatproof bowl/jug and add pink food colouring to get a pastel pink colour.
- Pour the the white chocolate over the rice krispie mixture and smooth out to form an even surface.
- Transfer the pink food colouring to a small piping bag and drizzle over the white chocolate. Then arrange the party ring minis on top!
- Chill in the fridge until fully set before cutting in to pieces.
- - Store your party ring rice krispie squares at room temperature.
- - More or less chocolate can be added to the topping depending on your desired thickness - dark chocolate, milk chocolate, or a swirled mixture can also be used according to your preference.
- - The pink food colouring is completely optional, I just think it gives a cute effect :) If you're not adding the pink chocolate drizzle on top you can reduce the white chocolate to 300g.
- - If you have the pink food colouring but you don't have a piping bag you can improvise by drizzling with a spoon!
