Magic Star Chocolate Fudge

May 24, 2020

This recipe is so incredibly easy and uses just 5 ingredients - including the decoration! It's also no boil and no faff - perfect!

Magic Star Chocolate Fudge

May 24, 2020

Difficulty

Time 15 minutes (plus 3 hours setting time)

Servings 16 giant pieces, or 64 more sensibly sized

    Ingredients

    • Milk Chocolate (500g)
    • Condensed Milk (397g - one tin)
    • Icing Sugar (50g)
    • Magic Stars (approx 50g / half a pouch!)
    • White Chocolate Sprinkles

    Method

    1. Line a 8"x8" baking tin. Sieve the icing sugar in to a bowl and set aside.
    2. Gently melt the milk chocolate and condensed milk in a saucepan on a low-medium heat. Keep mixing until fully encorporated, thickened, and the fudge is starting to come away at the edge - this takes a couple of minutes. Take off the heat. (Alternatively this can be done in the microwave. See recipe notes).
    3. Add the icing sugar and mix until smooth and no icing sugar pockets remain - work quickly; I find this part a bit of a workout!
    4. Pour the mix in to the lined tin, quickly smooth down with the back of a spoon/spatula. Wait a couple of minutes for the mix to cool slightly, then scatter magic stars and white chocolate star sprinkles on top and press down lightly. (Work quickly here; if you press down and they've been on the surface for too long they'll melt!)
    5. Leave in the fridge or counter until fully set - this takes approx 3 hours in my kitchen!

    Notes

    • - If using the microwave method: microwave the chocolate in 20 second burst in microwave suitable bowl, being careful to not overheat the chocolate. Once the chocolate is smooth add the condensed milk and mix in.
    • - Store your magic star chocolate fudge in the fridge, where it will last for 2 weeks!
    • - The icing sugar is optional but helps the fudge set firmer. Without it you'll just have a softer fudge!
